In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Sacramento; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (916) 409-6886. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is ramennearyou.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 27 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Sacramento.

The service was excellent. We were seated immediately with no wait and the waiters checked up on us often. The food came out quickly and it was piping hot, a large serving size, and very delicious! We tried both stir fried rice cakes and enjoyed them both equally. The restaurant was also very clean! We will definitely be coming back for more.

This offs the old Macau cafe and from the inside the set up of the same. The noodles were good and the kids liked the chow mein best. Braised beef noodles were good and the beef short rib ramen was a little on the herbal side. I wish the portion of the ramen was larger but other than that everything was good. Will come back again

Chef Mak Noodle House is a solid contender that puts the "art" back into artisan noodles. While the experience has its quirks, the craftsmanship behind the bowl makes it worth the visit. The Beef Rib Ramen Noodles are clearly the heart of the menu. Following the traditions of Northwest China, the noodles are machine-prepared, then hand-pulled and made to order, resulting in a texture that is perfectly chewy and undeniably fresh. Unlike the heavy, creamy tonkotsu often found in Japanese ramen shops, this Lanzhou-style broth is clear and savory, except the Braised Beef Ramen. It’s light enough to drink to the last drop but carries a deep beef essence. The bowl is rounded out with tender sliced beef, a generous punch of aromatic chili oil, and fresh cilantro that cuts through the richness. The interior design is simple and clean. It’s not a place designed for a three-hour lounge; rather, it’s a bright, functional space that lets the food do the talking. It feels modern and unpretentious, perfect for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. This is where the experience can be a bit of a gamble. With only three staff members handling the floor, service can be hit or miss. During peak hours,

We saw the Reddit ad about this new Chinese noodle restaurant in South Land Park-Sacramento. We ordered #1 and #2 noodles on their menu. The soups were just average. We thought the meats were chewy / rubbery. The noodles just tasted bland β€” nothing special. Other noodle restaurants in the area are so much better and more reasonably priced. Moreover, the restaurant’s acoustic is horrible β€” VERY noisy!!! You have to kind of shout just to talk to your dining companions.

We were lucky enough spot them on their second day of opening and decided to give them a try. Their noodles are all hand-made and worth a try. Chefmak also offers a wide variety of traditional Chinese food and we're looking forward to trying them out. Service was fast and friendly, and very efficient. Our lunch order was their #1 (Beef rib) and #2 (Braised beef) ramen bowls. Their noodles are more like Udon noodle sized and they give very generous portions. The #1 comes with a giant chunk of beef rib and a very light broth, honestly it was too lightly seasoned for our taste but still good. The #2 was in a red sauce with a tiny bit of spice to it, and was much more flavorful and would be our top choice. Plenty of parking is available and highly recommend giving them a try!
